Fulham will ask for offers in excess of £50million for midfielder Joao Palhinha amid interest from the likes of Tottenham and Man United, sources have told Football Insider.

Fulham are braced for offers for Palhinha just 12 months after he arrived at the club - but are hopeful of making a hefty profit on their investment.

The Cottagers paid Sporting CP a reported £20million for the midfielder last summer (2022) - and he signed a five-year deal at the club.

It is believed both Premier League and European clubs are ready to pounce for Palhinha following his impressive debut season in England.

Palhinha has been a mainstay in Marco Silva’s Fulham side, making 34 appearances across all competitions and scoring four goals.

According to FBRef, Palhinha has made the most tackles of any top-flight player this term (119) – ahead of the likes of Tyler Adams and Moises Caicedo.

The 20-cap Portugal international's only absences this season have come through suspension after racking up 12 cautions in just 29 Premier League games.

The defensive midfield star earns a reported wage of £50,000-a-week at Fulham, making him one of the club's highest earners.

Silva's side slipped further out of contention for European football on Tuesday (25 April) after losing away at Aston Villa.

Man United

Meanwhile, Man United are set to return to the Champions League for the 2023-24 campaign.

Tottenham are likely to have to settle for Europa League football next term - while Chelsea are set to miss out on European participation altogether.
