Tottenham are expected to mutually agree with Antonio Conte to part ways this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Italian signed an 18-month contract with Spurs in November 2021 with an option for an additional year, but the north London side are not now expected to trigger that clause in his contract.

Whispers are growing at Tottenham that Conte is "leaving" and his loveless reign is now in its final months.

Conte has steered Tottenham to fourth in the Premier League this season, but the club is out of all cup competitions after crashing out of the Champions League this week to AC Milan.

It is understood that Tottenham are already planning for life without Conte and are drawing up a shortlist of potential replacements.

Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique are on Tottenham's radar, while ex-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is also a potential candidate.

Football Insider sources revealed on Friday (10 March) that Tottenham will have to meet a key requirement in order for Tuchel to consider the job.

Conte replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in the Tottenham hot seat and led the club to a fourth-placed finish in his first season in charge.

The 53-year-old has also led Spurs to win 14 of their 26 Premier League games this season, leaving him with a 54 per cent overall win rate at the club.

Conte suggested he could be sacked by the Spurs board this week, saying: "We will see — they might sack me even before the end of the season, who knows, maybe they are disappointed."
