Sources: Tottenham hit by shattering Harry Kane blow
Harry Kane has told friends he won’t be signing a new Tottenham deal amid a backdrop of chaos at the club, sources have told Football Insider.
Those with knowledge of the 29-year-old’s situation have revealed that the striker is reluctant to pen new terms as Man United eye a summer swoop for his services.
This news comes after Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici was forced to step back from his duties after he was handed a worldwide football ban by Fifa.
Spurs have also recently dispensed with manager Antonio Conte, placing Cristian Stellini in charge until the end of the season.
Julian Nagelsmann is the club’s number-one choice to replace Conte – but Football Insider revealed on Saturday (1 April) that the German fears joining Tottenham could damage his career.
The Lilywhites’ manager search will have also been complicated by Chelsea’s sacking of Graham Potter – which leaves the London rivals targeting the same names.

Kane has just over a year remaining on his contract at Tottenham.
Man United are desperate for a marquee striker signing in the summer window to bolster their title bid in 2023-24 – and it is believed they will launch a bid for top target Kane.
The Red Devils are likely to be playing Champions League football again next season – while Tottenham’s chances of securing a top-four finish are still up in the air.
