Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Sunderland sensation Jobe Bellingham, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that Spurs have been tracking the 18-year-old all year after he first caught their eye in January at former club Birmingham City, as revealed by Football Insider.

The club have regularly dispatched scouts to watch Bellingham, who has started all 16 Championship games for the Black Cats this season.

He made the £3million switch from Birmingham City to Sunderland in the summer window and scored his first-ever senior goal with a brace for Tony Mowbray's side against Rotherham earlier this season.

The teenage sensation has previously been on the radar of other Premier League clubs as well as sides from the Bundesliga.

Bellingham, the younger brother of Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham, is a versatile midfielder who can play in wide and central roles behind the main striker.

With three goals and one assist this season, he has helped make Sunderland promotion contenders who currently sit sixth in the Championship table.

Meanwhile, Tottenham suffered two consecutive defeats to Chelsea and Man City in the Premier League before the international break and slipped to fourth in the table having been top for the majority of the season.
