Sources: Tottenham, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest in race to sign Fin Barker in out-of-window deal
Tottenham and Leicester City are closely monitoring non-league striker sensation Fin Barker, Football Insider understands.
The rising star, 18, has caught the eye of scouts from clubs higher up the football pyramid after dazzling for Northern Premier League Premier Division side Mickleover FC.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Premier League duo Spurs and Leicester have been alerted to Barker’s potential and are plotting moves ahead of the summer.
The youngster’s progress is also being monitored by clubs in the Championship and Nottingham Forest have been keeping regular checks on him.
This could pave the way for an out-of-window transfer.
Premier League and EFL clubs are able to sign players from outside the professional leagues at any time of the year.

Barker has scored 18 goals for Mickleover so far this season after making his first-team debut in October.
The non-league club are aware of the growing interest in the teenager and are unlikely to stand in his way if his suitors decide to offer him a move into the professional ranks.
Tottenham and Leicester have the resources to make Barker an offer beyond the level of most Premier League clubs.
But a second-tier outfit like Forest could provide a quicker pathway to first-team football.
They also have one key asset in manager Steve Cooper, the former England age-group manager who has an impressive track record of developing and nurturing top young talents.
