Tottenham sensation Alfie Devine is already in talks to agree a January loan move, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs have given the go-ahead for the attacking midfielder, 18, to join an EFL club in the winter window.

Devine is believed to be talking to multiple clubs as he looks to head to a club that grants him regular first-team football.

It will be the next stage in the development of a young player for whom Spurs have very high hopes.

Devine became the youngest player in Tottenham's history when he made his first-team debut in January 2021 aged 16 years and 163 days.

Capped by England at Under-19 level, he is yet to add to that appearance but has been a regular for Spurs Under-21s in Premier League 2.

After starting the season injured, Devine has now made 12 appearances for Spurs' various youth sides.

As well as making eight appearances in the Premier League 2, with seven of those being starts, he has also had his first taste of European football in the UEFA Youth League.

However, after a poor campaign, Tottenham's Under-19 side crashed out in the group stage, only managing two win.

In March, Tottenham expert and Football Insider pundit John Wenham, of Lilywhite Rose, told this site that Devine's development was being stagnated by staying at Spurs.

When it emerged Devine would be staying at Spurs for the foreseeable future, Wenham said, "I feel he’s had another year of his development wasted."

Devine has made 48 total appearances for Tottenham's various youth sides.
