Sources: Tottenham star Troy Parrott undergoing Preston North End medical today

Tottenham sensation Troy Parrott is undergoing a Preston North End medical on Monday, sources have told Football Insider.

The Championship club have agreed the terms of a loan move with Spurs for the Republic of Ireland striker, 20.

Preston have won the race for Parrott, who has previously been on loan with Millwall, Ipswich Town and MK Dons, ahead of second-tier rivals.

While on loan at MK Dons in the 2021-22 season, he made 46 appearances for the club and scored 10 goals.

The striker was used in a deeper number 10 role, limiting his goalscoring chances.

This summer, Parrott was part of Antonio Conte’s squad as Spurs travelled to South Korea as part of their pre-season preparations.

As quoted by Irish outlet RTE (18 June) the striker admitted he wanted to try to impress Conte when he returned to Hotspur Way for pre-season testing.

However, there is no place for him in the senior squad with Tottenham bolstering their attacking options by signing Richarlison from Everton in a deal worth around £60million.

Parrott has made 11 Championship appearances in his career with all of them coming during a stint with Milwall during the 2020-21 campaign, though he failed to score in any competion for the Lions.

On 20 April, Spurs expert and Football Insider pundit John Wenham told this site that a Championship loan move this season would be crucial for Parrott’s development.
