Tottenham have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Sergio Reguilon, Football Insider understands.
The left-back, 23, has agreed the terms of a five-year contract and is poised to complete a move to Spurs in the next 24 hours.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Tottenham have also agreed a fee of £28million including add-ons for the defender.
Reguilon is set to put pen to paper imminently on the move, and that could be as early as today.
The deal for the Spain international comes as Tottenham are also in talks with Real to sensationally re-sign Gareth Bale.
Reguilon has also been a target for Man United but the Londoners have swooped to finalise an agreement as they look to secure a proven left-back.
Jose Mourinho has given the green light for Danny Rose to leave Tottenham permanently but has wanted cover and competition for first choice Ben Davies.
The 2019 signing Ryan Sessegnon can also play at left-back but he has had most success in his career so far playing in more advanced attacking positions.
Reguilon is an orthodox full-back who has come through the ranks at Real to establish himself at first-team level as well as win his first senior Spain cap.
Reguilon has made only 23 appearances in total for Real but made a big impression while on loan at Sevilla last season.
He was a mainstay of the side that won the Europa League and made 29 league starts among 38 appearances in all competitions.
In other news, Tottenham have accepted a 7-figure bid for international ace.
