Wolves plan to resist any offers for Pedro Neto as Arsenal target a potential summer move, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that the Molineux club want to keep hold of the 23-year-old as they look to build on the success brought by Julen Lopetegui.

Lopetegui took over in November 2022 and has steered Wolves clear of the threat of relegation from the Premier League - albeit with limited impact from Neto.

It is believed that the Gunners are monitoring the Wolves star’s situation as he makes a steady comeback from yet another long-term injury.

A move would come as a surprise considering his limited impact over the past two seasons.

Neto has failed to score or assist across 17 Wolves appearances this season due to a serious ankle injury hampering his involvement.

He missed a huge part of the 2021-22 campaign with a serious knee injury, managing just one goal as a result.

Arsenal were reportedly interested in signing the winger last summer (2022) but were put off by his £50million price tag.

It is believed that Mikel Arteta's side will be in the market again for another winger in the off-season as they target a backup for star man Bukayo Saka.

The former Lazio ace, who joined Wolves for a reported fee of almost £16million in 2019, has four years left to run on his contract at Wolves.

Wolves

Wolves themselves are planning significant transfer activity this summer.
