Wolves are in the hunt to sign Sevilla sensation Lucas Ocampos this summer, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The Argentina international winger, 26, has made a huge impression in La Liga since joining from Marseille for £13million in 2019.

A Wolves source has told Football Insider the club have Ocampos firmly on their radar as they step up plans to strengthen their attack in the next window.

The wide attacker was watched by the Midlands big spenders at former club Marseille and has remained in their sights at Sevilla.

The five-times Argentina international scored the goal to knock Wolves out of the Europa League last August in a 17-goal campaign.

He has followed that up by scoring seven times and providing four assists from 35 matches this term.

Ocampos has three years left on his Sevilla contract, which contains a release clause of £62m.

It is likely the Spanish club would be prepared to sell him far cheaper as the pandemic wreaks financial havoc across Europe.

However, Wolves are likely to have to sell at least one of their first-team stars to raise the funds to buy Ocampos.

Ocampos usually plays on the left side of the attack, although also regularly features on the right as well.

In addition to his 79 appearances for Sevilla, the Argentine also made 132 appearances for Marseille and played 96 times for Monaco.
