Sources: Southampton star expect Hasenhuttl to be sacked
Southampton players are expecting Ralph Hasenhuttl to be sacked in the coming weeks, Football Insider understands.
The Austrian, 54, is under growing pressure from supporters after overseeing a poor start to the new campaign following last term’s 15th-place finish.
A Southampton dressing room source has told Football Insider that there is a “strong feeling” among the players that Hasenhuttl won’t be at the club much longer.
The Saints have yet to win in this season’s Premier League and have taken just four points from their seven matches.
Club chiefs are likely to act if fears grow they are facing a season-long relegation battle.
Hasenhuttl has been in charge of Southampton since December 2018, when he replaced Mark Hughes.

The club have collected tallies of 39 points, 52 points and 43 during his three seasons at the helm.
The Austrian has earned praised for implementing a progressive attacking style and overseeing some famous wins but there have also been some calamitous defeats, including two 9-0 drubbings.
Football Insider revealed last week (8 October) that Eddie Howe is very keen on becoming the next Southampton manager.
The 43-year-old is currently biding his time waiting for the job to become available after rejecting some notable posts during his 15 months in the managerial wilderness.
He rejected the Celtic job due to misgivings about heading north of the border and sources have said location will be a key factor in his next posting.
Howe, who had an unhappy 18-month spell in charge of Burnley a decade ago, has strong roots on the south coast.
