Spotted: Three Tottenham young guns promoted to first team ahead of clash v Swansea

By Richard Parks

Tottenham young guns Christian Maghoma, Dylan Duncan and Joe Pritchard trained with the first team at their Enfield headquarters today (Wednesday).

Images uploaded on to the Lilywhite Rose Twitter account showed centre-back Maghoma and midfielders Duncan and Pritchard rubbing shoulders with the likes of Fernando Llorente and Son Heung-Min.

None of the trio are yet to make their first-team debuts but their promotion to the senior squad shows they are in the thinking of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Swansea City for their FA Cup quarter-final clash.

Following a draining few weeks in which they have been eliminated from the Champions League and lost goal king Harry Kane to injury for around a month, Tottenham have a full six days to prepare for the cup quarter-final at the Liberty Stadium. The match has taken on greater significance as it now represents Spurs’ only hope of ending their eight-year trophy drought. It is unlikely that Pochettino will field the kids against Swansea, as he will surely select his strongest available XI. Maghoma, Duncan and Pritchard have had the chance to impress the manager in first-team training, but they will have to do something pretty special to be named in the senior matchday squad for the first time this weekend.
