'Inept, clueless, useless', 'Nightmare' – Tottenham fans destroy one player for display v Liverpool
Tottenham fans were not impressed with the performance of Davinson Sanchez as their side drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield.
Sanchez was partly to blame for the goal that Mohamed Salah scored after just three minutes.
And the 21-year-old centre-back looked creaky at the heart of the Tottenham defence.
Fans lined up on Twitter to give him a hard time during the game that leaves Spurs outside of the top four.
One fan let rip, saying the centre-back was “inept, clueless, useless” and another said he was having a nightmare.
Tottenham fans wanted Pochettino to haul him off at half-time but the manager stuck with his defenders, but he did relent in the second-half, taking Sanchez off after 70 minutes..
Spurs found their way back into the game after a much improved second-half performance, with Victor Wanyama scoring a world-class goal in the 79th minute.
Salah popped up in injury time with his second to give all three points to Liverpool after Harry Kane missed a penalty.
But Kane got the chance to make amends in the 94th minute and didn’t miss again.
Here is a selection of the best reactions from Tottenham fans on Davinson Sanchez:
A big learning curve for Davinson Sanchez today. His worst game for us by miles, not helped by the system and those around him being panicked too.

1-0 is a fair reflection of our 1st-half performance. Dier's pass was awful & Sanchez was slow to react. Ugh! We look flat and our game is rather narrow. What changes could we make? Either need a change of formation or we could bring Lamela, Winks, or Wanyama on. #COYS #THFC

Dreadful. The only surprise is #Spurs are only 1 down. Countless mistakes at the back which, if Liverpool were more clinical, would see it 3/4-0. Dier & Sanchez especially poor. Need more presence midfield, Wanyama needs to come on. #thfc

Very underwhelming performance by #THFC back line. Dier nearly gift wraps it. Sanchez: Ole. Lucky to be down 1. Sonny strike gets us back in

Dreadful first half for Tottenham. Dier and Sanchez are lost so is actually most of the back line and is Harry Kane and Eriksen even playing? Come on Poch we need changes don’t wait until the 75th minute like every week. #LIVTOT #COYS #THFC #PremierLeague

#thfc lucky it's only 1-0, but still in it. Dele, Dembele andTrip have played very well. I don't want to go in on Sanchez, but he needs find some continuity; he's been all over the pitch, in a bad way. #LIVTOT

Sanchez and Dier with their worst performences I've seen that half… All around trash minus Dembele, Lloris, Vertonghen. It looks like they were all up to late partying. Tell em what's up at half Poch #COYS #THFC

Dier and Sanchez having nightmares today. Never thought I’d say this but Wanyama on? #THFC #COYS

Sanchez and Dier looking very nervous on the ball. Liabilities in a game like this. Subs required. #THFC #COYS

Sanchez is inept, clueless, useless. Pass back to keeper from half way line putting Spurs under pressure #thfc

Dembele…dier…sanchez playing like amateurs. We do need a brilliant competition for Dembele&Eriksen.
(Hopefully we could get that Ward Prowse – lovely player)why do we make stupiiiiiiiiiid individual mistakes???jesusfuckingchrist!#LIVTOT #THFC

Dier is dire and Sanchez is like a little boy making his Hackney Marshes debut in a men's game. I'm not even going to comment on Trippier. Milner clearly has an FA immunity from being cautioned #thfc
