Tottenham are in advanced talks with Ligue 1 side Marseille over a loan deal for winger Clinton N’Jie – and Spurs supporters were not too pleased as they feel he has not been given enough opportunities.
The pacy attacker joined the White Hart lane club last summer in a deal worth £14million, but the 22-year-old has struggled to break into the Premier League side after suffering injuries.
Many Spurs fans feel he has not been given the rub of the green considering he has been on the treatment table for the majority of lasy season.
Others are hoping his loan deal is not made permanent and he can come back to White Hart Lane next season to fight for his place.
As reported by Football Insider, the north London club have agreed a fee of £10.8million with Marseille for Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.
There were a few Tottenham fans who questioned the Tottenham hierarchy and management by asking why N’Jie and new signing N’Koudou cannot play in the same team.
Here are the views of Tottenham supporters on Twitter:
Given that N'Jie was injured for nearly all of last season I don't see why we'd get shot before he has a proper chance. #thfc

I've never seen Nkoudou play, so will reserve judgement if/when hes played a full season with us. Would be a shame to see N'Jie go tho #THFC

Can we not have Njie and Nkoudou in the same squad?? #THFC

N'Koudou wud be a good signing. #THFC need more pace & he was impressive for OM. More a true winger than N'Jie. Nice balance & skillfull too

Hope N'Jie is just a loan deal. No option to buy. Hasn't been given a shot yet. Need to keep our options open. #THFC
