Stan Collymore delivers verdict on Nottingham Forest boss speculation
By Danny Wright
Stan Collymore has suggested that Mark Warburton will need more than just a ‘magic hat’ if he is to succeed as Nottingham Forest manager.
The former Forest player made reference to a song Rangers fans sang about Warburton during his time in charge at Ibrox.
Paul Taylor of the Nottingham Post reported on Monday that the 54-year-old will be appointed as the new City Ground boss after interim manager Gary Brazil has failed to make an impact at the club.
Philippe Montanier was sacked by Fawaz Al Hasawi in January which prompted Brazil to take caretaker charge of the club.
After a decent start, Al Hasawi announced that Brazil would take charge until the end of the season.

However the 1-0 loss to East Midland rivals Burton Albion on Saturday proved to be the final straw for the club’s owner and he is now expected to announce the former Rangers boss as the new manager.
“New Nottingham Forest manager likely to be Mark Warburton. He’ll need more than a magic hat,” said Collymore on his personal Twitter page.

During his time in charge, Brazil has failed to move the Reds away from the bottom and the club currently sit in 19th place in the Championship – just two points clear of the drop zone.
Despite a surprise 3-0 thrashing over second-placed Brighton at the beginning of March, it was the Reds’ only win in their last seven league outings.
