Stan Collymore has asserted that Vincent Janssen is the weak link in Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham squad.
The 23-year-old endured a torrid start to life in the Premier League last season as he scored just two Premier League goals while playing as Harry Kane’s understudy.
The England international suffered a couple of spells on the sidelines through injury last season, and Janssen largely failed to step up to the challenge when handed a starting berth.
Instead, Son Heung-min, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen were on hand to score the goals in Kane’s absence, and ex-Liverpool attacker Collymore has warned Pochettino that the Dutchman must be improved upon this summer.
When asked on social media where Spurs need to strengthen, Collymore responded on his personal Twitter account: “Deputy striker. Janssen isn’t the answer. He’s just not. Unfair too to keep relying on midfielders to chip in if Harry gets injured.”
One position where Spurs need a new player ? Personally I can't think of anywhere. Your thoughts Stan?

Janssen was handed seven starts in the Premier League last season, scoring in just one of them which came from the penalty spot in a 1-1 draw with Leicester.
He had to wait until April before scoring his first goal in English league football from open play when he netted with virtually the last touch of the game in a 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth at White Hart Lane.
Across all competitions, the ex-AZ Alkmaar forward made 38 appearances for Tottenham, scoring six goals and supplying four assists.
In other Tottenham news, this Premier League player could be the player replace Janssen as Spurs ready a bid.
