Stan Collymore makes bold claim about Liverpool

Stan Collymore has boldly claimed that Liverpool will miss out on a Premier League top four place to Manchester United.
The former Aston Villa striker cited “defensive frailties” as a reason for their north-west rivals to finish above them at the end of this campaign.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have shown title winning form this season as they currently sit in second place, six points off leaders Chelsea and seven points ahead of United.
The German has installed a new style to the Anfield club since taking over from the sacked Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.
Klopp has overseen two final defeats this year, both in the League Cup and the Europa League as he now aims to secure their first English title in nearly three decades.

However, broadcaster Collymore explained on his podcast why his former club will miss out on a Champions League spot this season.
“If I had to be a betting man and I had to look into a crystal ball then I would go Manchester City first, Chelsea second, Arsenal third,” said Collymore
“I’m going to stick my neck out and say Manchester United to nick fourth place. Liverpool fifth in a battle with Spurs.
“I just see defensive frailties in Liverpool and a little bit of lack of quality in certain areas that maybe the other teams can mask.”
The Premier League giants have already met this term, with Jose Mourinho’s side recording a stalemate at Anfield.
They will next face off in the league on January 15 at Old Trafford, but prior to that Klopp’s side must take on Pep Guardiola’s City on Saturday to round off the year.
Meanwhile, Mourinho will be hoping to guide his team to a fifth win on the bounce in the league as they take on newly-promoted Middlesbrough on the same day.
