Collymore: Pochettino must snap up 32-goal striker reportedly on Tottenham radar
By Dominic Toner
Stan Collymore believes that Tottenham should try to sign prolific Celtic forward Moussa Dembele in the summer transfer window.
Spurs are reportedly interested in the 20-year-old that has been in fantastic form this season in Scotland.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino could be prepared to sanction a move for the £30million-rated striker that has netted a fantastic 32 goals in just 49 appearances this campaign.
Dembele has been a major success for Celtic this season under Brendan Rodgers and could still win a domestic treble with the Bhoys.
Meanwhile, Spurs have their own talisman in Harry Kane leading the line, but summer signing Vincent Janssen has failed to provide a strong back-up.

Collymore feels that the north London club should consider youngster Dembele as a summer target and claims they should thrown their money for his signature.
“Pochettino’s most pressing need is a top-quality alternative up front to Kane,” Collymore wrote in the Daily Mirror. “I know I’m not going to be popular with Celtic fans but I’d go and throw money at the Scottish giants and prise Moussa Dembele from Brendan Rodgers’ clutches.
“He’s young, has pace, and clearly knows where the net is. If I was 20, like the French youngster, I’d jump at the chance of joining the young talent at Spurs.”
Spurs have not been short of goal this season and have had the likes of Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son all chip in with big contributions.
However, Pochettino purchased Dutch forward Vincent Janssen last summer and he has managed just six goals in return all season.
They look like falling just short of the Premier League title as rivals Chelsea edge closer to the crown and their fans feel they would benefit from a genuine back-up for England international Kane.
Dembele has taken the Scottish top-flight by storm this season and even proved his credentials in the Champions League group stages, scoring against both Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach.
However, he has made just two appearances so far in the Premier League and is still at the early stages of his career.
In other Tottenham transfer news, Simon Jordan has claimed that a significant number of players want to leave in the summer.
