Stan Collymore reveals which Tottenham player worries him after display v Scotland
By Danny Wright
Stan Collymore has revealed that he is “worried” about the performances of Tottenham’s Eric Dier for England.
The 23-year-old earned his 18th international cap in the 2-2 draw with Scotland at Hampden Park on Saturday, but Collymore has suggested that he doesn’t quite fit Gareth Southgate’s tactics.
Dier has been at the brunt of criticism from some Spurs fans at points this season, despite playing a huge role in helping Mauricio Pochettino’s side achieve their highest ever Premier League finish.
However Collymore, speaking on his personal Twitter account on Saturday, seems to hint that criticism could be warranted.
“Still worried a little about Dier’s lack of dynamism as our primary defensive midfielder when players run at him and off him,” he said.

England lost ground at the top of Group F in the European qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Dier’s teammate Harry Kane scored a last-gasp equaliser to spare the Three Lions’ blushes after Leigh Griffiths scored two free-kicks in the space of three minutes to put the Scots ahead and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring.
Elsewhere, Slovenia beat Malta 2-0 to close the gap to the unbeaten England.
In other Tottenham news, this international enforcer has responded to reports linking him with Spurs.
