Steve Nicol has shut down Jurgen Klopp’s comments after he claimed Liverpool could be the last club of his managerial career.
Club legend and former defender Nicol believes the highly-rated German coach will eventually move on in his career.
Klopp, who joined the Anfield outfit in 2015, recently stated that he is not the type of manager to have been in charge of ten different clubs when he eventually retires.
The former midfielder has managed two clubs during his career, both German sides, first FC Mainz before his most successful spell at Borussia Dortmund where he won two Bundesliga titles.
Former Scotland international Nicol offered his thoughts on Klopp’s comments about his future at the club.

“Do I believe it is going to happen? No, I don’t,” Nicol told ESPN. “He is talking about finishing his career there, he’s not finishing his career there, how many times have you heard coaches and players saying ‘I’d love to end my career here, I love it here’.
“This is not his last club put your bottom dollar on it. He will have another club, I hope it’s not for a long, long time because that would mean Liverpool would be successful.”
During his debut campaign at Liverpool, Klopp added a fast pressing style to the team, a tactic which briefly saw them challenging for the Premier League title this season.
Klopp is yet to win any silverware as Liverpool manager, with the German losing the Europa League final to Seville and the League Cup final to Manchester City last term.
With Merseyside club out of all cup competitions this season, they will be looking to secure a Champions League place at the end of the campaign.
At this moment in time, the Reds are in third place on 66 points from their 33 matches, six points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, who have two games in hand on their rivals.
