'Superb', 'Great business' - Celtic fans ecstatic as club announce massive transfer

Celtic fans on social media are delighted after the Hoops announced the signing of Odsonne Edouard on a four year contract.

The deal was announced a short time ago on the Bhoys’ official Twitter account.

Edouard spent last season on loan at the Bhoys from PSG, and he had a highly productive season, scoring 11 goals including three against Rangers.

Unsurprisingly Hoops fans are absolutely delighted about the deal being done, with one fan describing the news as ‘brilliant’, whilst another lauded the club on having Edouard, Tom Rogic and Kristoffer Ajer all tied down to the club on long-term deals.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to the news that Edouard has joined the Scottish champions on a permanent deal:

He showed his capabilities for the Bhoys in his debut last season, scoring against Hamilton, but he really made his name with his performances against Rangers, particularly his winning goal for a 10 man Hoops side against Rangers in March.

The performances in the Old Firm derbies really caught the eye and it was no surprise that the Hoops rushed to get the deal done before other clubs had the chance to talk to the Frenchman.

Edouard will be expected to lead the line for the Hoops in their upcoming Champions League qualifiers, which begin next month, perhaps in conjunction with fellow Frenchman Moussa Dembele.
