'Superstar' Aaron Ramsey tipped to join Nottingham Forest after confirmed news - pundit
Aaron Ramsey could join Nottingham Forest after leaving Juventus.
That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder’s next club.
Juventus confirmed on 26 July that Ramsey’s contract had been terminated a year early.
The 31-year-old spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Rangers, where he made 13 appearances and scored two goals.
However, his spell may be best remembered for his missed penalty in the final of the Europa League, costing Rangers the penalty shootout against Frankfurt.
McLeish claims Ramsey is still good enough to play for one of the Premier League’s newly-promoted sides.

“I do believe that there could be a place for him in one of the Premier League teams,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Ben Wild
“For instance, the teams that have been promoted. Maybe Nottingham Forest would be looking at a situation like that.
“Watching Forest in the playoff final, they need new recruitment. Why not bring in a superstar who is, okay, near the end of his career?
“He had injuries while at Rangers and that might frighten a few people. At the same time, his performances for Wales show you that experience is forever.
“I think there could be a chance of him going to one of those clubs and they will have surely looked into it themselves.”
Ramsey previously played for Forest on loan during the 2010-11 season.
He made five appearances in the Championship.
