Reliable journalist claims Arsenal talks for potential Sanchez replacement progressing well
Arsenal are in talks to sign Bordeaux striker Malcom this transfer window and discussions are going well, according to a reliable journalist.
Brazilian reporter Bruno Andrade, who works for Goal.com, made the claim via his official Twitter account regarding the future of the 20-year-old after hearing that ‘conversations are progressing well.’
The tweet translates: “I posted last week that Arsenal came into the fray for former Corinthian Malcolm. Today I hear that the conversations are progressing well.”

The striker, who has also been linked with Tottenham and Manchester United, has made 18 outings in Ligue 1 and has an impressive goal tally, having bagged seven goals.
With Gunners winger Alexis Sanchez being linked with a move away from the Emirates with Manchester City seemingly the likely destination, Malcom could be a direct replacement for the Chilean.
Football Insider verdict:
This potential deal all hinges on any transfer of either Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez going through. History has shown that Arsene Wenger rarely builds upon the quality he has already acquired, preferring to sell his best players before bringing in new acquisitions. If Wenger decides to bite the bullet and sell one or both, then replacements will be necessary and Malcom certainly fits the bill. At just 5ft 6in he is a diminutive figure, but strong and nippy and offers a similar style of play that Sanchez gives Arsenal.
