Tammy Abraham tipped by expert to shine for Arsenal after player's stance reported - 'he's a fan'

Kevin Campbell “would love” to see AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham join Arsenal this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Highbury favourite claimed the 24-year-old would “add another dimension” to Mikel Arteta’s side next season.

The Gunners are in the market for at least one centre-forward in the summer window.

Alexandre Lacazette is set to leave upon the expiration of his contract next month while Eddie Nketiah is still yet to pen his new deal.

According to the Metro (24 May), Tammy Abraham is keen on a return to London a year on from his move from Chelsea to AS Roma.

The England international has excelled in Serie A and helped Jose Mourinho’s side win the Europa Conference League earlier this month.

When asked by Football Insider if a move to the Emirates could be on the cards, Campbell said: “Abraham is a player who is an Arsenal fan, if I’m not mistaken.

“He has done really well in Serie A.

“He is big, mobile and scores goals. I would love to see him come. He is an option in behind and from crosses. Arsenal haven’t had that in years.

“[Olivier] Giroud was the last striker who was very good aerially. Abraham is more mobile than Giroud.

“I would really like to see it. He would add another dimension to Arsenal. Teams could not just sit back because we’d just put crosses in. It would be an interesting one.”
