Tanguy Ndombele: Expert slams loanee's 'laughable' latest Tottenham comments
John Wenham has slammed Tanguy Ndombele’s latest comments about his time at Tottenham.
Spurs insider Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels, is baffled as to why the midfielder is speaking about Tottenham.
In an interview with Telefoot (6 February), Ndombele claimed “I needed oxygen. At Tottenham, I was going to stay in the cellar”.
Ndombele, 25, joined Lyon for the rest of the season on deadline day.
Wenham has slammed Ndombele’s “laughable” comments.
“I find it laughable, some of the things he has said,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He also said something about how working under five managers was too stressful.
“Every single one of them had issues with him and this isn’t just a Tottenham issue.
“For whatever people might say about Moussa Sissoko, Didier Deschamps used to select him for France over Ndombele.
“It’s a simple fact that he couldn’t be relied upon. I saw people on social media sharing compilations of what he did for Lyon.
“They lost 2-0. So it’s great that he was doing that when his team lost, they must love him at Lyon.
“He’s not knuckled down and decided to play football, he’s decided to dig at Tottenham again with no explanation for why he wasn’t playing.
“He has barely been fit in his time here, he rarely played well so I’m not sure what he was complaining about.”
