'That's a worry' - Exclusive: Mills touts surprise axe for Leeds mainstay after loss v Forest
Danny Mills has suggested that Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa could make the shock decision to axe Kiko Casilla after his performance against Nottingham Forest.
The former Leeds and England defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that the Spanish stopper has now made a handful of errors and that he is forcing his boss to make a decision on whether to keep faith.
Casilla, who has started all but one of the Championship games he has been eligible for since signing in January 2019, was beaten at his near post by Sammy Ameobi during the 2-0 defeat on Saturday evening.
With the former Real Madrid man in unconvincing form, Mills suggests his confidence could be dashed and that Bielsa might turn to backup keeper Illan Meslier as a result.
“I think he’s now made a couple of mistakes, starting last week against Wigan, the communication for the cross, whatever it was, was disappointing,” Mills told Football Insider.
“Today the first goal, getting beat at his near post, is positional, his positional sense is not great. He’s not in a very good position and that’s why he gets caught out.

“(Is confidence an issue?) Quite possibly, and you know that’s a worry. The manager might have a decision to make as to whether he brings someone else into the side or not.”
After sitting on the bench for his first game at Elland Road, Casilla has missed just one league fixture for the Whites, a red card keeping him out against Millwall last season.
He has played every single minute of the club’s current Championship campaign this term, the FA Cup clash with Arsenal the only game he has sat out.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that the club have agreed a £2.5m deal after fee finalised.
