Paul Robinson has hailed Liverpool the best team in Europe and suggested they could now attract the likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner to the club as squad players.

The former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed Jurgen Klopp will look to bolster his squad this summer in order to compete for every honour next season.

The Reds have been continually linked with Bundesliga stars Timo Werner and Kai Havertz with the latter scoring a brace for Bayern Leverkusen on Monday night.

The Express claim the Reds received a boost in their pursuit of Havertz after the 20-year-old admitted he would be open to a move abroad.

Robinson claimed the arrival of the attacking midfielder would not necessarily be bad news for Naby Keita.

"When Keita has been involved he has done reasonably well," he told Football Insider.

"I think he will be an integral part of the squad next season.

"Liverpool have been fantastic this season but if there was something to improve it would be competing on all fronts.

"They are the best team in the Premier League and the best team in Europe.

"They are now one of the most attractive teams for players to play for so they will be able to bring in a certain magnitude of players just to bolster your squad."

Football Insider revealed Jurgen Klopp has no intention of selling Keita despite the midfielder having failed to meet expectations since his big-money move from Leipzig.

Keita, who has struggled with injury since arriving at Anfield, has been limited to just 18 appearances this season with Jurgen Klopp preferring Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain in midfield.

The Guinean has three years left on his contract.
