'The Scottish Messi' - Rangers fans drool over goal machine, want him signed up in summer

Rangers fans have been drooling over Barnsley forward Oli McBurnie after he scored a last-minute equaliser for the English Championship strugglers against Bolton on Saturday.

McBurnie, 21, has been in stunning form after leaving Swansea to join Barnsley on loan in January, and many Light Blues fans now want director of football Mark Allen to go out and sign the two-times Scotland international in the summer.

Since moving to Oakwell in January, McBurnie has proved himself to be quite the goal machine having scored eight goals in his last 13 appearances in the league.

He joined the Tykes on deadline day after reports surfaced that the boyhood Rangers fan could have been on his way to Ibrox if Alfredo Morelos was sold to the Chinese Super League.

McBurnie may well be delighted with his decision to join Barnsley though as he has been on fire since and is playing a major role in helping them avoid relegation from the Championship.

Now, Rangers fans have been left drooling over the 21-year-old and have suggested him as a potential summer signing after he found the net yet again on Saturday.
