'There's a number of tests' - Manager confirms two key injury doubts for Leeds clash v Brentford
By Danny Wright
Brentford manager Dean Smith has confirmed that key players Henrik Dalsgaard and Nico Yennaris are doubts for his side’s clash against Leeds United at Griffin Park on Saturday.
Dalsgaard, 28, was forced off the pitch in Brentford’s 2-0 win against Birmingham on Wednesday night with a foot injury, something which Smith has announced that he is worried about him recovering in time to play the Whites.
The Danish right-back has been ever-present for the London side this season, starting in all but one of their Championship fixtures.
However Smith has now confirmed that he is a doubt for this weekend’s action.
“I’m not sure. It’s a heel injury but I hope it’s more contact. I’m hopeful for him against Leeds,” said Smith, as quoted by GetWestLondon.

Yennaris, 24, missed the win at St. Andrew’s after he was knocked unconscious in the 3-2 victory at Deepdale against Preston at the weekend.
The Bees midfield mainstay has been critical to their recent run of form, but Smith has admitted that the ex-Arsenal man still needs further tests before he is passed fit to play against Leeds.
“There’s a number of tests that he has to go and get ticks for. He’s done ball work today and he’ll join the rest of the lads tomorrow,” the Bees boss added.
“If he gets the ticks in the procedure in coming back from the unconscious spell then he’ll be okay for Saturday.”
Brentford, unlike Leeds, will be going into this weekend’s clash on the back of a brilliant run of form which has seen them avoid defeat in their last eight Championship outings.
Thomas Christiansen’s men have lost five of their last six games and after a promising start, they now look as though they may be failing in their bid for promotion this season.
In other Leeds United news, BBC pundit Noel Whelan has slammed this Whites duo after a poor start to the campaign.
