'They won the Champions League' - Chris Sutton mocks embarrassing Rangers moment
By Amir Mir
Chris Sutton has mocked Rangers for the “embarrassing” way in which they celebrated their win against Partick Thistle last Sunday.
The former Celtic striker stated that Pedro Caixinha’s side celebrated like they had won the Champions League trophy.
Rangers were losing the fixture 1-0 before Barrie McKay struck seven minutes before time to level the scores, his goal was followed up by Joe Garner’s injury-time winner.
Players and members of staff celebrated the goal in wild fashion as the Gers recorded all three points in a dramatic way.
However, Sutton wasn’t too pleased with how Rangers celebrated as he stated what they will do against Hearts on Saturday afternoon.

“I have heard, they are getting a big band in if they win tomorrow,” said Sutton as posted on the Twitter account of a Celtic fan. “They won the Champions League. Doesn’t it show how far they have fallen? A little bit embarrassing.”

Overall, it has been a disappointing season for all those associated with Rangers as they have struggled following their promotion last summer.
They are a mammoth 39 points behind their Old Firm rivals, Celtic, who reached the 100 point mark on Friday night.
Brendan Rodgers team beat second-placed Aberdeen 3-1 away from home on Friday night as all the goals were scored inside 15 minutes of thrilling action.
Nonetheless, Caixinha will be focusing on his own match, with the Bears hosting Ian Cathro’s Hearts in the early kick-off on Saturday.
The Portuguese has won four out of his eight matches since he moved to Glasgow in March, with his biggest win coming away at Aberdeen.
With three matches of the season remaining for the Gers, Caixinha will be hoping to end a poor campaign on a high.
