COMMENT

With the January transfer window fast approaching, Celtic will probably be one of the busiest clubs, with stories everyday linking players that will be joining or leaving the Scottish champions.

As the Hoops are still in Europe - with a last 32 Europa League match against Zenit St. Petersburg set to take place in February - Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers will be wanting to add some quality to his squad.

He could help to fund these transfers by trimming down the number of the bloated Celtic squad, which could really do with being reduced.

Players that don't want to be at the club anymore, or who are out of the first-team picture completely could also be got rid of as the Bhoys attempt to introduce fresh blood into a squad which has set a new unbeaten British domestic record, but is in danger of stagnating.

STUART ARMSTRONG

Hard to fathom how a player who was deservedly nominated for player of the year last season has fallen so quickly.

Th 25-year-old is a shadow of the player who once scored for fun, he has only one league goal so far this season.

Contract wrangle at the start of the season seems to have affected him, with the nadir reached in the Champions League against Anderlecht when he was substituted at half-time.

With another contract issue set to arrive at the end of the season, the Bhoys should cash in on him in January.

Rodgers doesn't seem to be a fan of the player at all, it would be best for the club and the player if he left in January.

So far out of the first-team picture that Rodgers played a midfielder - Nir Bitton - in defence for some crucial games rather than a natural defender like Sviatchenko.

With rumours about new central-defenders coming January seems the right time for the Bhoys to sell the Danish international

LIAM HENDERSON

Talented midfielder who is a Hibs legend for winning the Scottish Cup with them in 2016, but is currently wasted in the Celtic development side.

He's unfortunate as midfield is Celtic's strongest position, so Henderson finds himself behind the likes of Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Olivier Ntcham.

Needs a move to kickstart his career, perhaps a return to Hibs could be in the offing?
