Celtic player ratings v Kilmarnock: Three players 4/10 in stalemate
Celtic and Kilmarnock played out a dull goalless draw at Celtic Park as a shadow Hoops side failed to fire against Killie.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers made plenty of changes from the side which played against Hearts, with the Scottish Cup Final in mind.
Patrick Roberts played as the lone striker, with starts for the likes of Jozo Simunovic, Calvin Miller and Scott Sinclair.
The first-half was rather dull, with the Hoops having plenty of possession but struggling to break down a well-drilled Killie defence.
A rare moment of excitement came when Simunovic was unlucky to have a header ruled out for offside in what was the Hoops’ first shot on target.

The Hoops then came close when James Forrest headed over the bar, and a Scott Sinclair effort went right-along the edge of the goal-line but didn’t go in the net.
Stuart Armstrong came close to opening the scoring early in the second-half and Jack Hendry should have scored when he put a free header past the post.
That was the last chance of the game though as the match ended in a goalless draw.
