Liverpool must do what it takes to secure the services of Roma winger Mohamed Salah this summer.
The Reds have been linked with the 24-year-old for some time, but Jurgen Klopp is set to reignite the club’s interest this summer, according to Goal.
The 52-time Egypt international has been in superb form for the Italian giants this term, scoring 13 goals and supplying 13 assists in 29 Serie A games.
Here are three reasons why Klopp must sign Salah.

Salah is able to play on either wing and as a secondary striker, meaning he fits Klopp’s 4-3-3. Since Sadio Mane’s injury Liverpool have lacked a creative spark, and the Egyptian provides just that. He the has pace, power and skill to unlock defences. With Philippe Coutiho looking to move into a deeper role, where he can dictate proceedings. Salah provides another player who he can pick out and another player who can finish the chances created by the Brazilian. He also provides genuine width, something the Reds have lacked all year.
Salah has not only created a huge number of goals this term, but he has also scored a great number. Despite playing on the wing for the majority of his games in Serie A this term, he has scored as many goals as he has assisted (13) meaning he has had a hand in 26 goals in his 29 appearances. Liverpool are one of the most attacking sides in the Premier League, but even they have looked blunt and ineffective against sides who sit deep. Salah is someone who can use his pace to get in behind defences, and use his skill and trickery to open them up.
Point to prove
The 24-year-old had a torrid time at Chelsea. He spent two years at the club following his move there from Basel in 2014, but he only featured 19 times in all competitions and spent the vast majority of his time away from the club on loan. If he were to sign for the Reds, he would have the opportunity to show Chelsea what they are missing week in, week out. He has been a huge success at Roma and there is no reason why he could not have the same success at Anfield.
