Tony Xia has outlined in a Twitter message to Conor Hourihane that he is yearning for the Aston Villa midfelder to achieve his career ambitions at the club after earning his first Republic of Ireland cap.
Hourihane, 26, started during Ireland’s 1-0 friendly loss to Iceland on Tuesday night, but was unable to help Martin O’Neill’s side avoid defeat at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Replying to Hourihane’s tweet on his personal Twitter account, Villa owner Xia wants to help Hourihane make his “dreams come true” after the midfielder joined Villa in January.

Hourihane joined the Midlands outfit in the summer after starring as captain in Barnsley’s midfield, continuing his impressive form in claret and blue.
O’Neill decided to call Hourihane up to Ireland’s senior squad for the first time after Hourihane has had a hand in 22 goals during his 38 league and cup appearances this season.

Scoring seven times for both Barnsley and Villa, the box-to-box midfielder has also provided a huge 15 assists, with his creativity prompting O’Neill to give Hourihane his first start.
Hourihane is expected to feature for the relegated Premier League side as Villa boss Steve Bruce looks to his players to keep Villa’s slim hopes of reaching the Championship play-offs alive.
Villa will be looking to maintain their sensational run of form that has seen them win five of their last six games, with all three points at home to Norwich on Saturday.
In other Aston Villa news, this summer signing will be sold if his mentality does not change.
