Tottenham are being linked with a move for Manchester United winger Anthony Martial as he nears the final year of his contract, according to a report.
The Telegraph details that the 22-year-old is not happy with the lack of opportunities he is getting in the starting XI and wants more game time.
Martial’s contract expires in 2019 and the situation has put a number of Europ’s top clubs on red-alert.
Juventus, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and Atletico Madrid are all keeping tabs on the player as well as Tottenham, whose manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be an admirer of.
But Spurs fans are mixed on the speculation and can’t decide whether his arrival in North London would be good for their side or not.
There are sections of fans who think it would be a great capture for the club, while others simply don’t rate or believe the squad needs another attacker.
While the French international has struggled for a place in the United starting line-up – making just 16 Premier League starts – he has still notched up nine goals.
In fact, Martial has not started for the Red Devils since the 2-0 FA Cup victory against Brighton in the middle of March.
Here is a selection of Twitter responses from Tottenham fans reacting to the player’s reported interest:
Swap him for Rose.

I can't be the only one thinking we don't need martial, we have 4 superb attacking midfielders and only play 3 at a time. If rashford co e up then fine, he's more of a striker, but we don't need another attacking midfielder… for/on silly money.

Rashford or Martial would be good for our bench. pic.twitter.com/EraeEHGKo3

Thing is, #COYS are no longer Manchester United’s feedclub, which more recently, shows a decline in their success rate too..
The reality is, the reds are apprehensive and think twice about pulling a fast-one and playing us now..

That would be a perfect signing. His pace would fuel the rest of the team to play faster, and tbh that's been our only real issue, slow play. Also, i can't think of many people who could provide for Harry more effectively.
