Tottenham staff and coaches led by Antonio Conte are in no doubt Harry Kane will bounce back from his devastating England low, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs have already begun the process of throwing a protective veil of support around their star player in the wake of Saturday's penalty miss and the nation's World Cup elimination.

Kane, 29, has been inundated with public message of support on social media from current and former England stars over the last 36 hours.

Behind the scenes, it is believed Spurs coaches including Conte have been reaching out to Kane with messages of support.

The London club resume their Premier League campaign on 26 December against Brentford and Conte is preparing his team, deprived of many of their World Cup stars, with friendlies over the next fortnight.

Kane is set to be given a week off following his World Cup heartbreak before returning to Spurs training.

Conte is preparing for the Brentford match with the expectation that his star player will be able to take his regular place in the starting XI for that match.

Tottenham are confident that Kane can cope with the pain and torment he will be experiencing following his scuffed second penalty in England's 2-1 defeat to France.

Spurs staff believe the England skipper's reservoir of mental strength is "huge" and one of his biggest qualities, if not his biggest.

There is no suggestion at this stage that Kane will be given an extended break that could continue beyond the Premier League resumption, in order to enable him to lick his wounds.

Instead, Spurs are convinced he will want to get back on the pitch and giving his all for the club where he has spent his entire career.
