Tottenham 26-year-old aims amusing dig at Mauricio Pochettino
By Amir Mir
Danny Rose has aimed an amusing dig at his Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino by stating he doesn’t get involved in training as much because he has “put on a bit of weight”.
The White Hart Lane faithful will laugh at Rose’s comments and like the fact that the Spurs players have a really good relationship with their manager.
Left-back Rose is considered the teacher’s pet amongst the Spurs players after midfielder Dele Alli made that revelation.
Nonetheless, the 26-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury, will be looking to make a swift comeback into the team.
This was Rose’s funny response when asked if Pochettino gets involved in training.

“He does try to get involved in training,” Rose told Soccer AM on Sky Sports One. “But, not so much this season, he has put on a bit of weight.”
Rose has played 21 Premier League and Champions League matches for his side this season, scoring two goals and supplying four assists.
The England international has arguably been the club’s best player this term, in particular, when Pochettino opts to use Rose in a left wing-back role.
At this moment in time, Ben Davies is filling in the role at left-back and the Wales international will be preparing for a clash against Everton on Sunday afternoon.
The in-form Toffees visit White Hart Lane looking to cause an upset and inflict the first home defeat of the season on Pochettino’s men.
The duo last met on the opening day of the campaign at Goodison Park where they played out a 1-1 draw.
