Tottenham could now complete Paulo Dybala signing after 'massive' development - pundit
Tottenham could now be in the driving seat to sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala this summer after moving ahead of Arsenal in the race for a top-four finish.
That is according to former Leeds striker Noel Whelan, who was speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 28-year-old’s potential Premier League switch.
According to football.london (16 May), Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham are all vying to sign Dybala on a free transfer when his time in Turin comes to an end this summer.
As per Calciomercato (13 May), the Argentine’s agent, Jorge Antun, has travelled to London and held talks with intermediaries regarding a potential Premier League move.
Dybala, who has notched 15 goals and eight assists this term, is out of contract at the Bianconeri next month.
Whelan claimed a reunion with former Juventus boss Antonio Conte could now be most likely.

“Everything depends on the Champions League and where both clubs end up,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“It’s such a massive bargaining chip.
“He may now be wanting to work with Conte again. Sometimes those sorts of relationships can take precedence.
“Tottenham will be an attractive proposition if Dybala has a good relationship with Conte. Just look at their front three and that attack – he’ll be wanting to try and become a part of that.
“However, if Arsenal can turn it around and get back into the top four then that could be the golden ticket which allows them to go out and get players like him.
“Generally, Champions League football has the biggest sway for a player.”
Football Insider revealed last month (30 April) that Newcastle have have submitted a blockbuster offer for Dybala.
Arsenal trail fourth-place Tottenham by two points ahead of the final day of the season.
