Tottenham do not expect Kazaiah Sterling to make the first-team grade, Football Insider can reveal.
The striker, 21, has been on loan at Leyton Orient after his temporary Doncaster Rovers spell was terminated early at turn of the year.
A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that Jose Mourinho has no plans for Sterling to be reintroduced into the senior squad when he eventually returns from Orient.
The north Londoners will listen to offers for the striker in the summer and don’t expect him to play for the first team again.
The Premier League giants were hoping that the forward would play regularly in the lower leagues this season and get crucial senior experience under his belt.
But Sterling has made just four appearances for his two loan clubs across all competitions, only one of which was in the starting XI.
Doncaster manager Darren Moore had explained that the front man had failed to make an impact in the opening half of the season partly due to injury.
At Orient, the England youth international has failed to even make a matchday squad since his arrival on deadline day.
Sterling spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland, where he scored only one goal in eight substitute appearances .
He has a contract at boyhood club Tottenham that runs until the summer of 2021.
