Tottenham dressing room divided over Fonseca after latest Romano update - ex-manager
Alex McLeish has suggested the Tottenham dressing room may be divided over the prospective appointment of Paulo Fonseca.
The former Scotland boss, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed some Spurs stars would be questioning the direction and ambition of the club.
As reported by reputable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday (June 16th), Fonseca has agreed terms to join Spurs and an official announcement could be made soon.

The 48-year-old is currently out of work after leaving Roma earlier this year.
McLeish suggested Fonseca’s arrival would offer a fresh start to those who were down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.
However, he admitted other senior stars may have doubts over the new manager’s pedigree.

“For some, the slate will be clean and it will be a chance to impress this new gaffer,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“Some will maybe be thinking: ‘We are not really aware of Fonseca, the way we’re aware of other head coaches. Where are we going in terms of success for Tottenham? What is the yardstick? Can we get to the levels that we have been in recent years?’
“I guess only time will tell. Spurs fans and the Spurs hierarchy will have to see what Fonseca can do. When you recruit these guys, there’s got to have been a lot of homework done.
“You can’t say that guys like Daniel Levy are very naive. They have great sources in terms of what they know about these coaches when they bring them in.”
Fonseca guided Roma to a seventh-place finish in Serie A and to the semi-finals of the Europa League last season.
He has been replaced by former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.
