Paul Robinson expects Tottenham to make "four quality signings" this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one predicted "an exciting window" for Antonio Conte's side on the basis of their January activity.

Spurs secured Champions League football for next season with a 5-0 win at Norwich City on Sunday.

Just 48 hours later (24 May), Tottenham announced £150million of equity had been injected into the club.

A statement said the increased capital would be used to provide "greater financial flexibility and the ability to further invest on and off the pitch."

When asked by Football Insider's Dylan Childs for his preview of the summer window in light of the news, Robinson said: "The type of player they can attract has changed.

"I think they need signings but not signings for signings sake. In January we saw quality signed over quantity. We saw Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur come in. If the summer signings are anywhere near that quality again it is going to be an exciting window.

"I expect Spurs to sign four players but also move a few players on.

Tottenham

"The squad is fairly big but it does not rival Liverpool's or Manchester City's. It will not happen in one or two windows. It will be a process over 18 months.

"You can see how Conte is shaping his squad. He will want four quality players in this window. It will be the right players though. They have the finances to do it now."
