Tottenham expert: Alfie Devine to seal move 'soon' after 'wowing' suitors
Tottenham starlet Alfie Devine may join a Championship side on loan “soon” after “wowing” at the Under 19 European Championships.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Devine, 17, starred for England as they won June’s Under 19 European Championships.
The midfielder made 22 appearances for the various Spurs youth sides last season, scoring 11 goals.
However, he has not been included in the club’s ongoing pre-season tour of South Korea after being granted extra time off following England’s win.
Wenham expects Devine to join a Championship side before the start of the 2022-23 season.

“Alfie scored or assisted in every game in the run-up to the final,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It was a really good tournament for him. I am sure there will be Championship interest after he wowed for England.
“Tottenham did turn down a loan offer from Leyton Orient last summer but he is way beyond that now.
“No offence to Orient but he is Championship-ready, he has that aggressiveness to his game.
“It would be great if he could get that Championship loan move sealed soon so he can take part in the club’s pre-season, that will set him up nicely for a full season of men’s football.”
Devine joined the Spurs Academy in the summer of 2020 from Wigan.
He is the club’s youngest ever goalscorer after he netted on his first-team debut in a 5-0 FA Cup victory at non-league Marine in January 2021
