Tottenham expert issues 'massive' Dejan Kulusevski verdict as Antonio Conte quotes emerge
Paul Robinson has claimed Dejan Kulusevski's return to fitness "is massive" for Tottenham manager Antonio Conte.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said Kulusevski, 22, "had a huge impact off the bench" against Liverpool.
Kulusevski made his return from injury as a second-half substitute against Jurgen Klopp's side on Sunday (6 November).
The Sweden international impressed but could not recover the game for Spurs, who lost 2-1 to the visitors.
As quoted by Football.London (6 November), stressed the importance of Kulusevski's return given the current injury absentees in north London.
Richarlison and Son Heung-min missed the loss to Liverpool because of injury.
When asked by Football Insider for his
"They have massively missed him. Spurs have not been anywhere near their best in front of goal with him and Richarlison missing. They bring a lot of the goal threat. There is not as much creativity without them.
"A lot of the talk over the past few weeks has been about Conte playing too defensively. I think people are forgetting the injuries Spurs have got. Players like Kulusevski, Son and Richarlison bring the attacking impetus.
"Kulusevski had a huge impact off the bench at the weekend. His return to fitness is massive."
Kulusevski has made eight Premier League appearances this season.
He has one goal and four assists to his name in those outings.
