Tottenham expert issues 'unbelievable' Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg claim after 'big' twist

Tottenham stars Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are well deserving of new “big” contracts.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

According to The Times (27 October), Tottenham are ready to offer the duo fresh contracts as a reward for their impressive performances this term.

Dier, 28, has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, starting all but one of Spurs’ 12 Premier League games.

Hojbjerg, 27, has scored four goals in 18 total appearances this term, including the goal that saw Spurs finish top of their Champions League group on Tuesday (1 November).

Wenham is delighted to see the duo rewarded by the club.

“Complete no-brainers for me,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Dier has been an absolute rock in our defence ever since he came in so to tie him down and give him new ferms is a reflection of that.

“Hojbjerg has had an excellent start to the season. He is scoring a lot of goals which is a side to his game we haven’t seen too much of recently. Some of them have been unbelievable strikes too.

“Both players are absolutely key to the way we play and while I don’t see any significant transfer interest in either player I think it is only fair to reward their form with big new deals.

“You will do very well to find a Tottenham fan who is not in favour of this move.

Tottenham are next in action against Liverpool on Sunday (6 November).

Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sit ninth in the Premier League table.
