Tottenham expert shares what he's heard about Yaya Toure after 'priceless' development
Yaya Toure’s potential addition to the Tottenham coaching staff is a “brilliant thing”.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
As per The Daily Mail (3 April) Toure, 38, is set to join Tottenham’s coaching staff permanently.
On 1 December, Sky Sports reported the Man City icon was working alongside Spurs academy coaches Dean Rastrick and Chris Powell on an informal basis to gain experience.
On 7 February, Wenham spotted Toure watching Tottenham’s Under 23s against Crystal Palace Under 23s decked out in full Tottenham gear, which led him to believe a permanent role was on the horizon.
Wenham insists Toure’s experience can only benefit Spurs’ youngsters.

“That game I saw him at was well after the two-week stint he was meant to do with us,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“So I think this has been coming. I have spoken to a few of the parents and it sounds like the players really like working with Yaya.
“For me, it’s a brilliant thing. He’s a world-renowned player and he has won everything there is to win.
“I think he will be a great influence on the players and the experience he can give them is priceless.
“It’s a great move.”
Toure won three Premier League titles during his time with Man City.
He also won the Champions League with Barcelona.
