Tottenham fans call for first team change on Twitter ahead of Sunderland clash

Tottenham fans have called for Vincent Janssen to start ahead of Harry Kane in the next few matches on Twitter.

Spurs host Sunderland on Sunday and fans are hoping their new summer signing will be leading the line against the Black Cats.

Kane has started the new campaign slowly with just one goal in the opening five matches of the campaign, also following a poor tournament at the 2016 summer championships with England.

Fans have taken to Twitter ahead of their next match and many think that Janssen should be given the nod, providing Kane with a rest.

Kane was used in the majority of Spurs’ fixtures in the last campaign, with the England international considered the only player suitable to lead the side.

The 23-year-old played in 50 encounters in all competitions, scoring 28 goals in a succesful season which saw Mauricio Pochettino’s side finish in third place.

Fans of the north London club aren’t too concerned yet with the current goal shy forward with the attacker not scoring until his ninth appearance for the club last season.

The Argentine boss made the move to bring in Janssen in the summer to provide competition and backup to Kane, and it could now be time to start the Netherlands international.

In other Tottenham team news, fans praised the decision to start Son Heung-min against Monaco on Twitter.
