Tottenham fans are fuming at one star for what he did during their Champions League clash with Bodo/Glimt.

Spurs beat Villarreal 1-0 in the Champions League on matchday one to get off to a winning start in the competition.

Thomas Frank's side travelled to Bodo/Glimt on matchday two, the side Spurs knocked out of the Europa League last season on their way to winning the trophy.

Frank was looking for a response following Spurs' 1-1 draw with Wolves in the Premier League, but one star failed to impress.

Spurs fans unhappy with Richarlison after huge miss

Spurs had a tough first half against Bodo/Glimt with the hosts missing a penalty to go one-nil up.

Many Spurs fans though believed Spurs should have gone ahead earlier in the match when Richarlison missed a golden chance presented to him by Lucas Bergvall.

Since scoring twice in Spurs' 3-0 win over Burnley in the opening match of the Premier League season, Richarlison has only scored once in seven matches in all competitions.

One fan said "Richarlison is an awful footballer," which another posted, "Richarlison shouldn't be here next summer."

One Spurs fan posted: "Can’t stand watching richarlison much longer he is terrible ! Drop him"

"We really need a clinical striker. Richarlison is not it," another commented on social media.

One said: "Never want to see Richarlison play for the club again."

"How many times do we hear Richarlison could have done better with the finish Which he should have done," a fan posted.

Spurs lack threat in poor first half

As per BBC Sport [30 September], Lucy Ward explained why she believed Richarlison missed the chance in the first half.

"Richarlison just got the ball caught between his feet. I don't think he was expecting it to come all the way through to him. It was a great run from Bergvall," Ward said.

Spurs lacked a goal threat in the first half, with Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus both dropped to the bench.

Richarlison taking his chance could have swung the game in Spurs' favour, and is a sign that Frank perhaps needs to sign a top class striker in the future.
