Tottenham fans have taken to social media to sing the praises of right back Kieran Trippier for his first half display against Watford on Saturday.
The Lilywhites went into half-time drawing 1-1 against the Hornets, after Heung-min Son had netted to cancel out Christian Kabasele’s opener.
Watford’s opener came courtesy of a corner, with the Belgian defender rising highest to head the ball past Hugo Lloris in the Tottenham net.
However Spurs found a way back into the clash, with Christian Eriksen feeding a ball across the box for Son to poke home from close range after a blistering counter attack from Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
One man who was crucial to the goal was speed machine Kieran Trippier, who linked up well with Eriksen down the right flank, and fans were delighted with what they saw from the former Burnley man in the opening 45 minutes.
They turned to Twitter to express how impressed they had been by the defender’s display.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:

Trippier’s passes are getting up there with Eriksen levels. Honestly some of his balls in are fantastic! #COYS

The positive is that we're getting Trippier into dangerous positions. Kane should have scored with one of his volleyed crosses.

Another great cross from Trippier, something Aurier still hasn’t done all season
