'Great news', 'Pure filth' - Tottenham fans react to imminent attacker bid lodged reportedly

By Richard Parks

Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react with delight as the club reportedly prepare to table a bid for Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Marco Reus.

The Daily Mail claim that Spurs are ready to take advantage over the uncertainty of the future of the Germany international by making a formal move in an attempt to sign him this summer.

It is said that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are keen to take advantage of the contract uncertainty between Reus, 28, and Dortmund.

The 29-times Germany international has a deal that runs until the summer of 2019 and has failed to commit to an extension, which throws his future at the club into doubt.

Reus has recently returned to action after missing most of the season with a ruptured cruciate ligament, but he showed with his second goal in two games in Thursday night’s 1-1 draw with Augsburg that he is in fine fettle.
