Tottenham have rejected multiple offers for highly-rated defender Kevin Wimmer – and fans on Twitter have stated that he needs to stay.

Wimmer’s agent, Mithat Halis told ESPN that Spurs want to keep the 24-year-old after turning down several offers from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs.

“Cologne made an offer,” Halis told ESPN. “There have been a few offers from the Premier League and the Bundesliga. There is a lot of interest.

“Tottenham do not want to sell. All offers have been turned down and he is staying.”

Fans on social media were glad to see that Wimmer won’t be leaving the club as they believe he has a bright future ahead of him.

The Belgian is set to be sidelined after injuring his cruciate ligaments which could see him miss for a few months of action.

As a result, the White Hart Lane faithful backed Wimmer to fill the senior player’s role in a back three as Mauricio Pochettino’s side chase the title.
